M4WD-04/GO 6mm gold damper ball for precision mass-damper setups

This 6mm gold damper ball is supplied as an aftermarket mass-damper element for Mini 4WD applications where compact weighted contact parts are required. It is dimensioned for typical 6mm damper bores and intended for builders focused on tuning inertial response in small damper systems.

Assess carrier bore, retainer design and surrounding clearance before installation. The ball is provided singly and installs using standard damper assembly steps; confirm fitment and retained movement during test runs.

Routine maintenance recommendations include cleaning mating surfaces, checking for finish wear, and verifying that retained clearance remains within expected limits after repeated use. The gold surface is described for appearance and wear potential rather than as a declared performance modifier.

Excellent service, two of the items I purchased were out of stock but was given fair options on refund, store credit or replacement. I opted for replacement as there was a different version available and one of the items did arrive bent and they sent out
Measure the damper carrier internal diameter (6mm) and confirm retainer geometry and nearby chassis clearance to ensure expected movement and secure retention.
The gold finish is a surface treatment with limited impact on friction; monitor wear during tuning cycles and replace if surface degradation affects damper behaviour.
Use the ball as one element within your mass-damper arrangement and test incremental changes to carrier position and total mass to evaluate inertial response without making broad assumptions about performance.
Inspect the ball for surface wear, confirm retained clearance, and keep housings free of debris to maintain consistent damper action across practice runs.
