Technical fuel tank protection for Savage series

This aluminium fuel tank protection case is engineered for the HPI Savage range to provide a rigid external shield around the fuel cell. The design focuses on structural protection of the tank body and mounting pads while preserving original plumbing paths and nominal tank volume.

The part is supplied as a single machined cover intended to attach at the factory tank fastener points and chassis mounts. Installation normally requires removal of the body shell and refitting the original hex screws; no supplementary brackets or modifications are required for standard Savage tank layouts.

From a setup perspective the case is a durability component rather than a performance mod. It adds minimal external mass and does not change suspension kinematics, centre of gravity in any measurable way for routine adjustments, or fuel flow under normal operating conditions.
