Technical note on 2mm aluminium lock nuts

The 3RAC-N20/TI kit includes ten 2mm aluminium lock nuts finished in titanium colour, intended as aftermarket accessory hardware for Kyosho Mini-Z chassis. These nuts are dimensioned to mate with standard 2mm threaded fasteners used on MR-015, Mini-Z AWD, MR-01 and MR-02 variants.

Use these low-mass lock nuts where reduced weight and a low-profile fixing are beneficial, such as body posts, small brackets and non-structural chassis attachments. Fitment procedure is straightforward: hand-start the nut, then apply controlled final torque with an appropriately sized hex or nut driver to avoid thread deformation.

For race or practice setups, carry spare nuts from the 10-piece pack for quick swaps during servicing. Confirm thread compatibility on a single test fastener before substituting critical mounting hardware to ensure reliable fit and repeatable performance.
