Racing-oriented motor mount for RC18T and RC18R

This aluminium motor mount, sold as part RC18-013/BU by 3Racing, is a precision replacement for Team Associated RC18T and RC18R chassis. It is intended to secure the motor with repeatable alignment to support consistent gear mesh during competitive setup work.

Fitting follows workshop practice for 1/18 models: remove the factory mount, align the motor spline with the pinion and spur gear engagement, install the aluminium mount and confirm shaft-to-gear clearance before final torque. Use thread-lock on steel fasteners where recommended and verify the motor shaft remains parallel to the spur gear after assembly.

From a tuning perspective, the mount reduces motor movement that can alter gear mesh and drivetrain response, giving a more predictable baseline when testing different pinion sizes or shim configurations. After any drivetrain change, re-check mesh and perform a controlled run to confirm behaviour.
