Competition-grade graphite side chassis

This HSA-001/1 graphite side chassis is an aftermarket structural panel produced for HPI Savage 21 and Savage 25 platforms. It is a direct-fit component intended to replace the factory side chassis and deliver increased torsional rigidity for more predictable tuning response.

From a setup standpoint the graphite panel reduces torsional deformation under drive and on heavy landings, tightening steering characteristics and stabilising suspension pick-up. Expect changes in chassis roll and pitch behaviour; adjust droop, spring rate and anti-squat to optimise traction and turn-in for competitive layouts.

Fitment follows the original Savage rail attachment points; during installation confirm fastener alignment and bearing clearance to prevent binding that could affect driveline performance. The unit is supplied as a single piece for RC-scale competition use.

Use this chassis when you need a stiffer platform to refine handling and extract consistent performance across varied track surfaces.

Increased stiffness tends to produce earlier turn-in and more immediate steering feedback; reduce initial steering rate or soften front geometry if entry becomes too abrupt.
Often a minor spring or damping adjustment is beneficial. Start with slightly softer springs or reduced rebound to compensate for the stiffer chassis response.
A firmer chassis can improve consistency over repeated bumps, aiding predictability; however, adjust suspension compliance to avoid losing traction on very rough surfaces.
Ensure precise fastener torque and bearing alignment, check driveline runout after fitment, and perform setup logs to compare handling before and after the upgrade.
