This aluminium motor cover plate is a direct-fit upgrade for Tamiya TA05-IFS and TA05-R chassis layouts, intended to provide a stiff, low-profile mounting solution that keeps the motor positioned reliably on the chassis deck while allowing straightforward access for setup and maintenance.

Aluminium provides a rigid mounting face that resists deformation under load and helps preserve correct alignment between the motor pinion and the spur gear. A consistent motor location reduces the need for repeated mesh adjustments and contributes to repeatable drivetrain behaviour during tuning and competitive use.
