High-performance graphite main shaft manufactured for the Tamiya F103RM chassis and identified as F103RM-02. The higher-modulus graphite increases torsional stiffness over stock plastic components, providing a more stable driveline for precise lap-to-lap consistency.
Functionally the shaft replaces the kit main shaft and operates as the torsional backbone of the driveline. Reduced torsional compliance changes transient response to throttle and steering inputs, often delivering a crisper front to rear transition and reduced mid-corner roll when combined with damper and anti-roll adjustments.
Fitting follows standard F103 procedures: remove the OEM shaft per the manual, inspect and renew bearings or spacers that show wear, install the graphite shaft into the drive stack ensuring alignment and secure with kit fasteners. Post-fit checks should include driveline freeplay and a smooth rotation test before track use.
