Precision universal shaft for FF02 driveline

The FF02-04 aluminium universal shaft is specified as a direct-fit driveline replacement for the Tamiya FF02 chassis. It replaces the original plastic-style shaft with a single-piece aluminium unit while retaining the original mounting geometry and attachment points.

Installation follows standard FF02 service steps: remove the factory shaft, inspect driveshaft cups and pin retention, install the aluminium shaft into the existing cups, and verify free motion through full suspension travel and steering sweep. Apply a suitable thread locker to set screws and retention hardware during reassembly to secure running reliability.

From a tuning perspective the increased stiffness of an aluminium shaft reduces driveline deflection under load, which can tighten throttle feel and stabilise torque delivery to the driven outputs. This upgrade offers controlled, predictable results that complement suspension and driveline adjustments without introducing major handling changes.
