Pack of 15 precision 3/32" steel balls designed to replace rolling elements in small bearings and cup assemblies used on Tamiya M03M, M03L, M04M and M04L chassis. These spare balls restore rolling contact characteristics without altering assembly geometry.
Role in assemblies: the balls provide the rolling interface inside bearing races and ball-type cups within drivetrain and steering linkages. Installing new, uniform balls reduces irregular contact and play, improving rotational consistency in gear trains and steering mechanisms.
Best practice for installation: remove the bearing or cup and inspect the race surfaces under good light for wear or contamination prior to fitting new balls. Maintain cleanliness of replacement balls, seat them evenly in the race, and verify unobstructed hand rotation. Use minimal lubricant compatible with the bearing construction and avoid excessive force during assembly to protect race integrity.
Workshop note: replacing single balls is a low-complexity maintenance operation that helps preserve tight rolling tolerances; consistent, round steel balls can cut vibration and stabilize input response in tuned 1/10 touring applications.
