A precision aluminium heatsink with an integrated cooling fan engineered for mounting on Tamiya M04M motor endbells. The unit is intended to provide controlled airflow and additional thermal mass to stabilise motor behaviour in race and test environments.
Designed to increase convective cooling and surface area contact with the motor can, the heatsink slows temperature rise during extended high-load running. The result is reduced timing shift and mitigated power roll-off, which supports predictable lap times while refining gear ratios, motor timing and ESC maps.
Mount using the motor's endbell screws or compatible screw points, and route the fan supply to an appropriate low-voltage source. Confirm axial and radial clearance to pinion, spur and suspension parts before torqueing fasteners. Secure wiring to prevent contact with moving components.
Consider the heatsink as a tuning tool: it adds modest mass and a low-profile stack height above the motor and will influence transient thermal response. Use it alongside correct motor selection, ESC calibration and chassis airflow tuning to achieve repeatable race setups.
