The M07-07A swing shaft is an aftermarket drivetrain link engineered to adjust rear drivetrain geometry on TAMIYA M07 platforms. Intended for racers and advanced tuners, it modifies the relative kinematic path between the transmission output and the rear suspension during travel.
On-track the shaft changes transient torque distribution and load transfer characteristics, which can sharpen or soften initial bite depending on complementary setup choices. Use it as a tuning variable alongside damper curves, static ride height and toe to achieve predictable corner exit behaviour.
Installation requires removing the rear differential or transmission cover to access the factory shaft location; precision hex drivers and careful retention of small parts are required. Once fitted confirm axial and radial clearances, complete a bench-driven rotation test and inspect for endplay. Include the shaft in scheduled inspections to monitor wear and maintain consistent performance.
