This aluminium ball differential is engineered for Tamiya TT-01 and TT-01 TYPE E chassis, replacing the stock plastic case with a machined aluminium housing that enhances structural rigidity and repeatable seating of the ball elements. The stiffer housing reduces variability in preload and helps maintain consistent torque transfer under braking and cornering loads.

Installation follows a drop-in procedure: clean seating surfaces, transfer the existing ball and spring pack or fit supplied internals, then verify spur and gearbox clearance before final torquing. Use calibrated hand tools and moderate torque values to avoid distorting the aluminium shell, ensuring reliable gear mesh and axial alignment.

From a setup perspective, the unit enables fine adjustments to preload and internal friction for track tuning. Use appropriate light grease or diff oil to control slip characteristics, and inspect 走珠軸承 and gear contact patterns regularly as part of preventative maintenance to sustain consistent handling performance.
