Precision-machined graphite rear shock tower with an integrated body post, developed for the Team Associated RC18T chassis and identified as RC18-006A. This hop-up replaces the standard rear tower to deliver a firmer shock mounting platform while preserving OEM screw locations for repeatable fitment.
From a setup perspective, the stiffer mount alters load flow across the rear bulkhead, reducing deflection under lateral and longitudinal loads. The result is more consistent rear-end feedback when tuning spring rates, damper viscosity and anti-roll bar stiffness for race conditions.
Technicians can install the unit using the existing attachment points: remove the original tower, migrate necessary hardware and shock caps, secure the graphite tower and then verify ride height and shock preload values. No post-fit machining is required on standard RC18T assemblies.
For measured handling changes, implement incremental adjustments to springs, shock oil and sway bar settings, logging each change to isolate the tower impact. Monitor fastener torque and thread engagement closely when mixing composite components and metal hardware to maintain reliability under competition loads.
