Technical Upper Plate for MR-015

The KZ-01B/WO graphite upper plate is an aftermarket direct-fit upper deck for Kyosho Mini-Z MR-015 chassis. It preserves the stock mounting footprint for KZ-01/BU/WO variants while providing a stiffer top deck to alter torsional response and mass distribution without changing chassis geometry.

Installation requires removal of the stock upper plate and refitting using the chassis existing screw locations. Confirm screw lengths and internal clearances before final torqueing to prevent contact with motor or electronics. Standard Mini-Z workshop tools are suitable for the swap.

As a tuning component the graphite deck increases torsional stiffness relative to typical plastic plates, concentrating setup influence on suspension tuning and ballast. Implement changes methodically: install, test on a controlled surface, then iterate spring, damper, or weight adjustments in measured steps to evaluate handling changes.
